5.03 Carat Columbian Emerald & 1.15 Carat Trillium Diamond Ring

This massive ring is a custom piece for a special client in Australia. He had contacted us in regards to another custom ring, CD1010. This client wanted an emerald instead and the following ring is the outcome. This ring featured a center Columbian emerald with a weight of 5.03 carats. This is a natural specimen with a beautiful color and a clean clarity. The emerald measured 10.0x9.80x7.85. It is flanked on each side by custom cut trillium diamonds that total 1.15 carats. These diamonds had to be re-cut to fit the emerald exactly. In other words, the client wanted to the diamonds to fit perfectly with the emerald. The diamonds had a clarity of Vs1-Vs2 with a color range of H-I. The trillium diamonds had a diameter of 6 1/2 mm! This ring was made of 18K white and yellow gold with a total gold weight of 7.18 grams..
